The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist  provides medical nutrition therapy and counseling to patients/clients to promote health and manage diseases while focusing on a weight-inclusive practice. The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist  collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized nutrition plans and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

Pay range (Determined on Experience): 

$40-50 per Client Hour

$21-25 per Administrative Hour

 This role involves conducting nutritional assessments, developing personalized care plans, and adjusting them based on patient progress. It includes providing individual or group counseling, with part-time positions offering under 25 client hours weekly and a 1:4 ratio of administrative to clinical hours. Educating patients, families, and caregivers on dietary topics and creating educational materials is essential. Collaboration with healthcare teams ensures comprehensive care, while program development includes designing policies, evaluating effectiveness, and engaging in community outreach. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate documentation, complying with regulatory standards, and staying updated through continuing education. 

The ideal candidate will be a Washington State resident and possess a  Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certification, along with Washington State Certified Dietitian credentials. A strong commitment to a weight-inclusive approach and alignment with Health at Every Size (HAES) principles is essential. Additionally, candidates should have at least one year of experience working with eating disorders or disordered eating, beyond the completion of their dietetic internship (preferred). Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check prior to hiring.

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at Ash & Birch Counseling can work either work a hybrid (in-person and remote) or a fully remote position. 

Full-time positions provide 25-28 client hours per week plus administrative responsibilities and other duties as assigned. 

Part-time positions provide less than 25 client hours per week with administrative hours provided at a ratio of 1:4 administrative to clinical hours. We also offer administrative pay for supervision, training, and group practice meetings/case consults.

The role may require occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate client needs. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist must be emotionally resilient, as they will encounter emotional and potentially stressful situations that require professionalism and empathy.
